Grace's gelcoat has held up well over the years. Passers by at the boat yard cannot believe it when I say she was built in 1976. |

I use Collinite 885 Heavy Duty Paste Fleetwax and an orbital buffer. There are a few shadowy stains that you can see from close-up but not from about 10 feet away. The bottom paint looks bluer than it actually is. The photo below shows the color more acurately. |

This photo shows her smooth, freshly painted bottom. She gets two coats of Interlux ACT ablative antifouling paint. The color is green although you may not be able to tell that from some of the other photos. The camera is very cheap and sometimes it doesn't get the colors quite right. This is the closest to the true color. The waterline stripe is teal. |

With the TillerPilot steering I can relax and take in the view from the bow. If you stare long enough, you may notice the sail controls on the genoa. There are both foot and leech lines that are have velcro pockets to prevent them from catching on hardware as the sail crosses over in a tack. |

I forget the model of boat we are "racing" against here but I know it was a similar sized vessel. We eventually caught and passed them to windward. |
A closeup look at the new North 115% genoa. A tell-tale window was added during the winter of 2003. That's a piston-style sail hank still golden bronze. |
