About Us: Lori Steed

Lori SteedLori Steed has a B.S. degree in Graphic Design from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (1985), and experience in print media, photography, project management, information technology, and technical and creative writing. The depth and breadth of her life experiences enables Lori, as Design/Creative Consultant for ClickBert, to connect with clients and focus on their needs.

Lori is most adept at identifying problems and then devising solutions. Her background is rich in communications, leadership, education, and design. She thoroughly enjoys helping clients realize their goals and objectives.

Lori's broad background in design enables her to bring fresh ideas to almost any project. Schooled in graphic design, she has internalized the goal of communicating the message through a visual map. Along with her years of experience in non verbal communication, comes an ability to "get to the point". She can be direct and efficient without sacrificing a visually pleasing design.

Lori's design experience includes corporate identity (logo design), advertising, and various print publications (i.e. posters, catalogs and brochures), as well as her most recent contributions in Web design at ClickBert.

In her off hours, Lori plays women's soccer, coaches youth league soccer teams, and does extensive volunteer work in her community. She is a skilled sign language interpreter and has been active in the Deaf community since 1992.

Her experience as the mother of a child with extra challenges (deafness, Tourette Syndrome) has instilled her with the belief that while each individual is truly special, each must be able to function in and contribute to society. Lori believes the key factors needed to bring this about are common cultural experiences, respect, and the ability to communicate.
