Dingwall
is on the Atlantic side of the upper part of Cape Breton Island--very
near the top. There's not much of a town there but there is lovely scenery
and some very neat homes.

Looking
south on one of the three long beaches in Aspy Bay, Dingwall.
|
Looking
west from the ocean beach there is a large saltwater pond used for aquaculture.
Dingwall is surrounded by the Cape Breton highlands.

Lobster
boat in Dingwall. They use the old style wooden traps in Cape Breton
as well as Newfoundland.

This
is the narrow entrance from Aspy Bay into Dingwall harbour. We had some
kids snorkling there as well when we approached, making our navigation
even trickier.
